The CFPB has seen dramatic changes lately, and it may see one more – huge pay cuts

The CFPB is a bunch of crooked lawyers ripping off the general public with the mission to protect the consumer. I'm not surprised they are paying themselves absorbent salaries at the expense of the taxpayer. They are unregulated regulators that are a corrupt as they come. Single highhandedly destroyed the independent mortgage brokers in the mortgage lending space. Shut them down and shut them up.

@Don O, The CFPB has its problems (like any other Government entity) but your assessment is a bit off. I suggest that you actually investigate exactly what the CFPB does before you accuse them of destroying the mortgage broker. The entire industry (not just brokers) destroyed itself and would have with or without the CFPB. I am a Broker and I am thriving. Brokers need to reassess themselves and stop blaming everyone else.

It's about time someone watch out for my money. Now the Dems know why Trump was elected.

Don O, what are "absorbent salaries"?

We all know what this is really about. The GOP gets big bucks from bank lobbyists. The Republicans will destroy industry regulation and pave the way for next CRASH! Adios America - we’re done.

Paul, I suggest you do yours. We have 16 different gov't agencies that already do what the cfpb does. The bureau is just another example of bureaucracy bloat and feel good legislation. Don't blame the mortgage industry for what happened but rather the government who sanctioned these programs. For God's sakes...fha let's buyers get into homes with 3.5% down with scores as low as 580!!! And tge 3.5% down payment can be gifted.
